Hanne Andersen

In my pictures i explore the moment when we realize our mortality, when we collapse with technology, the moment we remember our past and ask ourselves: "well, how did I get here?". I work with motives like the mother with a child on her arm, interrupted i their game by the view of a bordeaux horisont, graphic pictures of pilotes with no expression in their faces and pictures of "crashed cars with attitude", dumped cars partly alive via a vague light in the headlights. I work within the frames of the figurative painting, and there is inspiration from the filmic world in the composition of my pictures. The motives are catched in the moment and may be described as a flimic stilllife, I often work with series, so often the pictures seems to be cut from the same piece of film. My picture are made from a basic of my own photos, sketches and pictures from newspapers and magazines.
