AnnieHjorth GlasKunst
men skrøbeligt- udtryk.
skaber ofte uforudsete virkninger.

English presentation:

My glassartmoney collects motives from the sky, thermal phenomena of the earth, endangered species, cave paintings etc.
The works are made in two layers of floatglass or ”Bullseyes”glass fuset together. It is adding depth to the picture, and the transparens of the glass lets the light affect the impression.
As a part of the process I experiment with bubbles and craquelure which supports motives from thermal phenomena.
The glass is heated at (about) 800 degrees (C) in my glass furnace, where surprises occurs underway and adds unexpected touch to the work.
I find ideas moving around in nature on foot or on horseback in the protected meadowland where I live.
I also catch material and ideas travelling e.g. in New Zealand and Iceland, where the unspoiled nature with thermal areas and vulcanoes especially caught my fascination.

My educations and experiences:
*Grown up in a home with easel
*Workshops and artworkprojects with mobile art workshop
*Educated art teacher, therapeut and pedagogue.
*Art and glass-courses, Aarhus Artacademi and Art and Design
