Life in a Black and White World

No matter how many races your family may be a mixture of in the US you are continually reminded of black and white.

I cut out this black and white copy of a photo of my great-grandparents. I made an adhesive sheet with clear packing tape. Next, I applied gold leaf to the tape behind the image of my grandparents. I mounted the tape to paper and edged it with decorative tape. The entire piece is encased in clear packing tape to make it durable enough to be handled as an art currency. It is signed on the back.
