This is a part of a series, depicting various animals affected by oil spill. I made these paintings with the recent oil spill in Mauritius in mind.
I am an abstract expressionist painter.
The recurring theme I keep returning to is nature and the climate. Personally, I have long been aware of, and concerned about our nature, climate change, our planet and how we treat it. I consider myself a climate change artist, and that’s why it is very important to me that it is also expressed in my paintings – either depicting human’s role in climate change or the change in nature itself.
The goal is to make the observer take a stand on climate change and feel with and be touched by nature. I hope to be able to bring attention to the subject through my art.
