Petroglyphs from Solberg close to Frederikstad in Norway. Most of the Solberg petroglyphs are carved in the Bronze Age. The circular carvings are "bowl signs". They probably had a function in connection with a ritual fertility cult and sacrifice. In this picture, the bowl pits can almost be perceived as balls the figures throw at each other!
