The Giant's Embrace is a dream, the glimpse of a journey to somewhere where nature is pristine, her colors are vivid, her beauty and bounty overwhelming. The hill is also an abstract giant figure that embraces a smaller female figure floating in his/her arms dressed up in an extravagant magician's assistant red costume. The sky is painted in baby-blue and baby-pink. Far, far silhouettes emerge from the horizon line: children running, balloons, humming birds, dragonflies. The magician's assistant looks like a fairy with lavish, shiny silver-grey hair. On her womb there is a star. An abstract moon smiley face is placed on the bottom right corner: she is absolutely happy about witnessing the hug, she can see it even if it is happening in plain daylight. Inside of the giant there are more encapsulated realities, worlds within worlds, in different scales, like if they were contained inside of a Matryoshka body. There is a rural village with a mill, a running blue river that defies laws of gravity and perspectives, a few houses. The giant and his arms are, obviously, giant, as the focal subject of the painting is to be embraced by something way bigger than oneself.
