Artmoney

Through my artworks I perpetuate processes of transformation in the cityscape. Walking and cycling around the city I photograph places whose appearances are changing, their present ones being only temporary. The photos constitute the subsequent starting points for my large acrylic paintings, or I piece them together into small collages for my artmoney.

When a new building is erected, an old one demolished or given a facelift, it leaps to the eye, because the familiar cityscape changes. I find beautiful images in the conspicuous building processes of the city, in the dizzying perspectives of scaffold constructions, in demolished or half-finished buildings and decay. And I wish to show the momentary and unfinished (the working process towards different goals in life) as something positive and rewarding, rather than something that must be overcome.
